Port Ellen Hunter Laing Vintage 36 Years 1983/2019 Eidolon Series Part 1 53,5%

Dies ist der Start zu einer dreiteiligen Serie namens "Eidolon", in der es ausschließlich um Port Ellen gehen wird.
Stewart Laing - heutiger Managing Director – hat diese Fässer der Vorausschau seines Vater zu verdanken, der noch während der aktiven Zeit der Brennerei einige Fässer in den Bestand übernehmen konnte.

The Eidolon casks were carefully set aside some years ago for additional aging and we now believe they have reached the peak of their complexity and character”, erklärt Stewart Laing.

In der antiken griechischen Literatur ist ein Eidolon ein Bild an etwas Denkwürdiges aus der Geschichte – Hunter Laings Eidolon wird in Erwartung der "Wiederbelebung" der geschlossenen Port Ellen-Brennerei eingeführt.
