The apricot type "Hungarian Best" is from Hungary. It was found as a coincidence seedling by by the court gardener Glocker in Enyed by the year 1868 and taken to circulation. It owes the name to Ed. Lucas (1816 - 1882).  It is part of the common kinds in Austria and the classic burning fruit of the Wachau.

The distillates are only won from the best fruits which were reaped in the perfect maturity stage. So that the flavour of the fruits can develop freely, exclusively particularly soft and natural pure prehistoric rock water is used. This ensures the elegant body of the distillates.

The distillery Hubertus Vallendar was chosen the "Distillery of The Year 2011" in two of three possible categories and therefore it is the superstar of the World Spirits Awards 2011 and again in 2012.
