The "History Collection" of the Saint Aubin Distillery is a tribute to the historical events which characterized the island, and made it what it is today.
In the year 1810 British conquerors landed in the north of the island occupied by the French, which was bearing the name "Isle de France" at that moment. After the successful Mauritius campaign in 1814 the island was part of the British empire. The Englishmen gave the island the old name back: Maurice or also Mauritius.
