The "History Collection" of the Saint Aubin Distillery is a tribute to the historical events which characterized the island, and made it what it is today.
This special Cuvée remembers the arrival of the Frenchmen at about 1715. Mauritius was a secret hiding-place for lawless, pirates and smugglers before. Only by the occupation of France the island became a base for the safe sea route to India. She got the name "Isle de France" from the Frenchmen.
