Made in accordance with recipe established in 1761. The heart of this distinctive dry gin is its unique distillation process, called vapour infusion.
Unlike other gins, which "boil" their botanicals together with the spirit, Bombay Original distills its pure grain spirit alone. The spirit vapour from this distillation then gently passes through a copper basket containing 10 carefully selected botanicals.
Recipe suggestions:
Bombay Tonic: 4 cl Bombay Sapphire gin, ice cube, tonic water. Put Bombay Sapphire gin in a glass with ice and filling out with tonic water- decorating with lime.
Bombay Crushed: 4 cl Bombay Sapphire gin, 2 cl Lime Juice, 4 Kumquats, 2 spoons of a brown cane sugar. Put 4 halved Kumquats in a glass. Enclose 2 bar spoons of a brown cane sugar and expressing easily with the mortar. Fill the glass brimful with crushed ice. Add Bombay Sapphire gin and Lime Juice and stirr it with the bar spoon.
