Bain is South Africa's first single grain whisky, born in 2009, inspired by the Cape Mountains and its natural beauty. The whisky bears the name of Andrew Geddes Bain - a Scotsman who built the Bain‘s Kloof passport which connects Wellington with inner South Africa  since 1853 and found the highest recognition for this in South Africa.

Only the finest South African corn (maize) is used together with water which flows over 850 million years old sandstone and Fynbos. Head of Whisky Excellence Andy Watts und Distillery Manager Jeff Green distill in column stills and let the single grain matured twice. This effortful maturity method leads to its extremely soft and unique taste.
