Steinhäger may be distilled and produced to EU right only in Steinhagen. For Original SCHLICHTE with 38 % vol only hand-picked juniper berries are fermented and distilled. In a separate burning process grain fine distillate is produced. The Steinhäger spirit distillate is reduced on drinking strength with water from a well of its own, filtered and stored up to the filling .
