St. James Rhum Agricole is produced to 100% out of pure sugar cane juice. This awards to him his unique flavour and his particularly fruity taste. The single, geographical position of St. James sugar cane plantation is almost perfect in combination with the humid tropical climate of the Caribbean for the thriving of the sugar cane plants. The sugar cane matures to a plant of extraordinary quality on fertile, volcanic earth on the island of Martinique with an optimal angle to the sun.
The French government managed the expression "Rhum Agricola" for this special and unique rum to underline the naturalness and the particularly gentle production (unlike industrial rum) with that. The production is carried out under strictly controlled conditions, the Appellation d´Origine Contrôlée, a state protection seal for highest quality Standards.
