Tekirdag and the region of the same name being part of it, is the pulsating centre for many agricultural products of Turkey today. Including corn, sunflowers, cherries, onions and natural grapes, these already 6000 years ago got indigenous to Anatolia. The upswing also started with the wine-growing to one of the most important Raki production centres within the 1930s years, represented worldwide by the brand of the same name, Tekirdag.
