Pusser's British Navy Rum is a Premium Rum Blend with a centuries-long history. After the conquest of Jamaica by the English fleet in 1655 the tradition of the everyday "Tots" of rum was born in the Royal Navy. The Purser (slang PUSSER) handing out “Tots” in order to strengthen troop morality, soon became standard tradition in the British Navy. Up until 1970, when due to all the technical developments and the increased dangers involving such processes, it meant saying “Goodbye” to this “decreed” drinking tradition. Once only available to the British Navy, it has for some time now also been available to other “landlubbers”.
