| Flavour | Peat first, then ripe red fruits from the PX and Oloroso casks. A hint of dryness next from the American oak with a long lingering florally finish - Marzipan and even limes at the end. |

Tasting Notes: Laphroaig
At the traditional production of Laphroaig the barley malt is dried about peat fires. Its extremely rich flavour awards the smoke of this intensive peat (there is this one only on Islay) to the whisky. Therefore it is one of the peatiest Single Malts of the world.
