The champagne house rich in tradition, Lanson, founded 1760 in Reims , is one of the oldest of the world. The son of the founder was knight of the Maltese order. As a sign of the tradition he established the symbol of the order, the characteristic cross, in the Lanson - company emblem - tightly.
Lanson is supplier to the court of the English royal house as well as the royal house Monaco.

The Champagne, one of the most famous wine regions of the world, is about 150 km north of Paris. "Champagne" is a legally protected designation of origin. Outside the limits of this 30.000 hectare area established legally no champagne may be produced and sparkling wines with origin outside this area mustn't call themselves "champagnes". As a particularly privileged champagne house Lanson gets its grapes of over 800 hectares from "Grand Crus" vineyard sites belonging to the best and most popular one.
The three noble grape types from which the champagne is produced grow on these vineyards: The tasty Pinot Noir, the rounded and fruity Pinot Meunier and the Chardonnay, symbol for refinement and elegance.

Lanson is one of the few champagne houses which does not carry out any malolactic fermentation. This way Champagne Lanson keeps its freshness and fruitiness.
