Producers note:
For BELSAZAR Vermouth, we use only the best wines from the South Baden region. Base wines: Muskateller-Cuvée, Rotwein-Cuvée. Our multiple award-winning winemakers produce at Kaiserstuhl and in Markgräflerland; guaranteeing regionality, sustainability, originality and accessibility for a product which demands time and love above all else.
The Secret of our Vermouth lies in the depths of our demijohns. This is where you can expect a gustatory greeting from a wealth of herbs, above all the
irreplaceable wormwood. We'll have to keep the others under wraps for now - all we can reveal is: nearly all are home-grown.
Good Vermouth needs more than just quality wine and herbs - a very special sweetness is also a must and for this Vermouth, we use regional grape must. Use normal sugar and ‘sweet' is all you get. Add aromatic and full-bodied must, however, and you pave the way for a more complex density, which rounds off the taste and enriches it with a fine note.
The special kick in our Vermouth is thanks to Schladerer fruit brandy, produced by a family-run company in the Black Forest using all-natural ingredients. Traditional craftsmanship since 1844.
In the world of wine, barrels tend to raise questions of faith. In our case, we opted for stoneware. Long-term storage gives the ingredients ample time to form a perfectly harmonious blend and with no risk of any unwanted cask aftertaste, which could risk the perfect palate we expect, BELSAZAR Vermouth flows unadulterated into the glass, just as we hoped it would.
