Allesverloren Wine Estate
The wine-growing estate Allesverloren (meaning "all is lost") is about 100 km northeastern of Cape Town at the southeastern foothills of the Kasteelberg. It is the only wine-growing estate in Swartland. The wine-growing estate bears the name Allesverloren since 1806 after the farm of the former owner was burned off. The vineyards are in an altitude between 170 and 370 metres over the sea-level. In the vineyard one attaches great importance to leafage care and orientation of the vine row. Danie Malan is in the wine cellar in his element if it is all about to express the kind typical flavours in the wine in the best possible way.
