Description: Pale yellow colour in the glass. In the nose discreet notes of yellow fruits and filigree oak. Nuances of mature stone fruits let themselves be seen in addition at the palate, accompanied by a well balanced acid and a breath of oak.

The Swartland is in a warm area with a low amount of rainfall to the north of Paarl. The cultivable area develops increasingly an excellent reputation for red wines.

Type of vine Chenin Blanc
The respected, late maturing type of vine Chenin Blanc who produces fine late and selections is resident at the Loire. Chenin Blanc is one of the popular white sorts of wine, also called Steen, in South Africa. Chenin Blanc is the ideal companion for a meal because of her expressive flavours. Chenin Blancs have an excellent store potential if they are stored at a higher maturity and in the wood moreover.

Allesverloren Wine Estate
The wine-growing estate Allesverloren (meaning "all is lost") is about 100 km northeastern of Cape Town at the southeastern foothills of the Kasteelberg. It is the only wine-growing estate in Swartland. The wine-growing estate bears the name Allesverloren since 1806 after the farm of the former owner was burned off. The vineyards are in an altitude between 170 and 370 metres over the sea-level. In the vineyard one attaches great importance to leafage care and orientation of the vine row. Danie Malan is in the wine cellar in his element if it is all about to express the kind typical flavours in the wine in the best possible way.
