Mr. Williams accidentally discovered this variety of pear at the end of the 18th century in England. Soon after, this pear became a success story in Europe and the USA. At harvest time, the Williams pear is light-green to lemon yellow with a red cheek on the side exposed to the sun. The Williams pear is highly regarded for its juicy and flavourful taste.
They Williams pear originates from the sunny regions of Styria (Austria), where the trusted farmers cultivate the traditional yellow and - in smaller quantities - the rare red variety. Only after the pears have ripened to perfection Rochelt starts harvesting them. That is when they burst with exquisite sweet aromatic flavours.
After naturally fermenting and having been double distilled, they mature the treasured middle cut in open glass balloons for a minimum of three years. The brandy then bursts with juicy and fruity flavours of Williams pear. It is strong and full, yet mellow and gentle.
Rochelt is "the distiller" from Tyrol.
