Characteristics: | Great aromatic depth, wonderfully fresh juniper note, lemony bite and earthy notes. Slightly sweet, exceptional concentrated and complex. juniper is the main ingredient of all gins although in Plymouth gin, but it dominates less than in other gins. |

The oldest distillery still working in England is the Black Friars Distillery, its foundation dates back to the year 1697.
A gin only then may bear the protected name "Plymouth gin" if the production is carried out in Plymouth, south west England.
It is produced from a pure distillate of the best grain, 7 different contents or botanicals and soft water from Dartmoor.
