| Flavour: | Elegant and energetic with an intense melting toffee sweetness and refreshing, spicy overtones. Creamy vanilla and oily lemon follow, finessed by a fragrant, fresh note of the sea air. |
| Taste: | Firm and intense. Flavours of honey and crème brûlée are contrasted by crisp notes of citrus, coconut and green apples. The complexity builds on the palate and culminates in a spicy, fizzing finish of caramel and freshly ground spices. |
Original Tasting Notes.
The Pulteney Distillery is one of the most northerly distilleries of the Scottish mainland. Named after the governor in those days from the British fishing company Sir William Johnstone Pulteney, the distillery was founded by James Henderson in 1826. The distillery was reaching only from the sea at this time. The salty sea air of his Scottish hometown stamp the taste of this whisky.
