The family cultivates vines in this area in the third generation since 1936. But the wine tradition of the house “Krustetten no. 12″ can be traced in the archives of the Göttweig abbey.

The family's estate is located in the Kremstal area. The vineyards (65 hectare) reside in the hills around the benedictine monastery Stift Göttweig and extend upstream the Danube valley to the Wachau. The philosophy is to grow and make wine in harmony with nature and to make use of the conditions of each individual vineyard. Considering these important factors they give the grape the highest chance to mature and they are the perfect foundation for excellent white and red wines. Wine making is not something they just do for a living it is rather an expression of their love to perfect nature's finest.
