Flavour: The nose is marked by freshness with notes after candied fruits, mainly plums and figs as well as smoky approvals.
Taste: At the palate wonderfully fresh with beautiful acid and ample fruit.
Finish: Dry and elegant, silky and lasting.
Drinking temperature: 18° C
Drink recommendation: As apéritif it matches excellently foie gras. He harmonizes with Créme brûlée and in principle with all desserts with dried fruits or nuts particularly well. Expressiv, long finish with large depth. To blue cheese and hard cheese.

These special kind of port, called Colheita (the word means in the Portuguese language harvest), are ports from a year which is appreciated by the port institute as "good".
As opposed to Vintage Ports Colheitas mature in the wooden barrel for at least seven years; as of the eighth year they may be drawn on bottle. Their colour is tawny to amber brown, the taste is firm tasty. The crop year and the bottling date are always noted on the bottle.
