Vintage Port is a year port from an only, extremely good wine year, with a very fine bouquet and of deeply deep red colour. Vintage ports are drawn on bottles after two to three years barrel maturity. They further mature here. Since the Vintage ages in bottles, it must be carefully decanted before enjoying.

Soil: Slate, gneiss

Fermentation/Winemaking: Destemming of the grapes. Fermentation at controlled temperature (24-28°C). Reaching the desired residual sweetness the fermentation was interrupted. After that the maturation was carried out in oak barrels in the famous business houses of Vila Nova de Gaia. Bottling between the 2nd and 3rd year.
