Martell VSOP Aged Red in Barrels is a genuine expression of the Martell style: The fine-grained oak barrels not newly but pre-matured are meant that the amber tan is still less pronounced, but the tenderness is respected and promoted by Martell's elegant and unique distillates at the same time. The choice of noble red barrels underlines Martell's specific level of maturity which makes it possible for the Eaux-de-Vie to express their natural fruit essences from the distillate fully. These fit in harmoniously with the subtle wood tones of the red barrels, so producing an extremely rich and refined cognac.

The house Martell became already founded in 1715 by Jean Martell and is the oldest of the big Cognac houses. For over 3 centuries the brand is famous for its unusual quality and stands like hardly another one for French way of living and refinement. Martell matures his high-quality cognacs exclusively in barrels made of French Tronçais oak: One, fine-grained oak which reveals delicate fruit essences. These flavours are perfected by the special distillation method of the house, the double distillation of exclusively clear, filtered wines.
