La Quintinye Vermouth is the result of the subtle combination out of noble wines and Pineau des Charentes, a regional fortified wine. Originally vermouth was created due to its special qualities in the 16th century. Approximately at the same time Pineau des Charentes arose by chance, a mixture of grape juice and cognac. The innovative oenologist and Master Distiller, as well as founder of EWG Spirits & Wine, Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, combined these two wonderful drinks 450 years later and La Quintinye Vermouth Royal was born.
