The house Jean Paul Metté in the Alsace is an institution under experts and connoisseurs of precious liquor. Gourmets from the whole world value the variety of different tastes and the quality of the noble distillates which are still produced today according to an old manual tradition.
Jean Paul Metté was regarded as a legend already to life times and called reverent by many "the man with the golden nose". He experimented with different fruits and hoarfrost degrees and was a passionate perfectionist in the high school of distilling high-carat rarities.
In the year 1998 Philippe Traber took the distillery of his godfather and master. With just the same passion as his foster father he continues the tradition with worldwide success.
The house Metté is one of the few distilleries these rightly describe themselves as a manufactory because at the "Distillation Artisanale" there is work done by hand actually.
