Description: In the nose ethereal, intensive, with notes of raisins and dried figs. At the palate sweet, harmonious, velvety, generous.

Drink recommendation: At the end of a meal, suitable for pastries and pie. Interesting also with soft mould cheese and pâté de foie gras.

The Vin Santo Chianti Classico is pressed from Tuscan Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes. The grapes are put down on wooden racks before for three months for drying. Following the grapes are soft pressed and the must is transferred to French oak barriques that are partially filled and sealed; the fermentation takes place over 12 months at a temperature of 15°C. Part of the ageing process takes place in wood.
