Category: | Red wine, dry |
Classification: | DOCG |

Description: | Deep ruby red with typical violet hues. The bouquet is amazing, complex, wide with scent of red-fruits, cherries, vanilla, coffee beans and cacao. Interesting ripe Barbera grape aroma. At the palate multifaceted, dry, velvety, harmonic, full bodied and very well-balanced with a special great spiced finish. Smoothly with taste of ripe grapes and small red fruits. Gessara is very rich in mineral salts and the flavour is supported by this particular richness. |
Alcohol: | 14.5% |
The vineyard is located in Mombaruzzo, on the right side of Belbo river, perfectly situated in terms of sun exposure and blessed with a perfect micro-climate. The soil is calcareous and clayey.
Ageing: These characters are magically blended by the barrique refining for 12 months. The result is an Italian style, full bodied, warm Barbera coming from the richness of the cru and the ageing harmony.
