The distillery is located in the west of the prefecture Saitama and was founded in 2008. Ichiro Akuto managed in shortest time to work out an outstanding reputation. As a grandson of the founder of the closed Hanyu distillery, he at first made a name to itself with the bottlings of the former distilleries Hanyu and Karuizawa. These are now probably the most wanted whiskies in the world.
