At first single whiskies mature separated in new oak barrels, second-hand either bourbon or sherry barrels and following get married in the big Solera barrel to combine harmoniously with each other. Altogether, the whisky matures for at least 15 years. Only a half of the content of a Solera barrel is used at the filling into bottles, the other one is filled up again to guarantee the constant Quality of Glenfiddich 15 Years Old Unique Solera Reserve.
