Château Batailley is one of the oldest possessions in the municipality of Pauillac. The 55 hectares of vines are planted on a 1 km long plateau opposite the castle and its park. It consist of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet and 2% Petit Verdot. Their yield amounts on approx. 300.000 bottles depending on year. Poor, nutritious silica creates an ideal ground. The vines grow up only with a great effort but they deliver red wine of best quality. These wines are of deep red colour and with ageing potential.
