Article: 2018 Rondeur Appassimento IGP Pays D'OC La Grange
Country: France
Growing area: South of France, Languedoc, Gabian
Classification: IGP
Producer: La Grange
Grape variety: 40% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 25% Mourvedre
Description: Dark red with brick-red reflexes in the glass. Seductive and easily mysterious bouquet with notes after dark fruits, primarily black currants in a blend with raisins minced freshly as well as a breath of rosemary and thyme in the background. The pepper seasoning of the Syrah is then effective quite fine also in the background as well as a fine note of the skilful barrique maturity: Vanilla, a little tobacco and milk chocolate. The combination from fruit, discreet sweetness and seasoning continues playfully and impressively at the palate. The soft and fine tannin awards backbone to the wine and captures the wasteful wealth of a dark fruit. Plum, raspberry, blueberry, all wraped with the seasoning of the Garrigue. Here the vineyard site potential of old shoots simply lets itself be seen on La Grange.
