The wine producer "Bodega del Fin del Mundo" founded in 1999 is located in the southwest of the Argentine metropolis Buenos Aires - almost 1.000 km away in a young wine-growing region. The translation means "winery of the end of the world". The endless distance of the province just the same appears to Neuquén in Patagonia.
There are ideal climatic conditions for the cultivation of vines. The strong fragrance variety of the shoots growing here are conditioned by extremely high differences in temperature of up to 20° degrees Celsius between day and night. The wines stand out due to intense colour, fine acid and complexity.
Already the first wine of Bodega del Fin del Mundo, a Malbec 2002, got a silver medal. The wines win internationally important competitions, medallions and awards, since then, too.
The owner family planned the modern wine producer buildings together with its Winemaker Marcelo Miras and its adviser Michel Roland from France. They were opened in 2003 and are equipped with the worldwide most modern technologies and machines. It is aim to produce wines of highest quality from the unique qualities of the Patagonian terroir.
