Distillery: | Avadis Distillery - Brennerei Andreas Vallendar in Bilzingen |
Alcohol: | 19% |
Characteristics: | Produced with botanicals like green walnut, cranberry, Stevensbaer cherry, Schönberg plum, wormwood, cinnamon, fennel, lemon and coriander. A cherry wine is produced specifically from the Danish cherry type Stevensbaer. The use of unripe green walnuts awards a multilayered and thrilling bitterness to the vermouth. The botanicals are macerated coldly in the crude destillate of their own and brought to the Riesling gently. The sweetness exclusively originates from the natural residual sugar of the wine and rectified grape juice concentrate. The natural colour is produced exclusively by the red fruits, neither caramelized sugar nor caramel is used. |
Taste: | Proportionally dry and complex. The green walnut awards a quite special manner of bitterness. Local red fruits round off the taste extremely. Elegant and with unique lightness. |
Drinking temperature: | Serve chilled. |
Drink recommendation: | Perfect for Manhattan, Negroni, Vermouth & Tonic, Red Vermouth & Soda |
