Emperor Heritage Mauritian Rum Blue Label consists of rum produced out of sugar cane juice and out of rum produced from molasses.
Already for French (1714-1810) and British (1810-1968) colonial timeses rum was produced in Mauritius. Of 6 distilleries 2 produce out of pure sugar cane juice, French style, "Rhum Agricola" and 4 produce of molasses "English style".
Christophe Aulner & Bruno Le Merle have selected the best 3 distilleries and united under Emperor. In the process they play with American oak and French oak casks.
