Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. (1830-1923) is regarded as one of the foundation fathers of the Bourbon industry which fought for the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897 almost three decades after he bought the distillery called Buffalo Trace today. At that time, Taylor introduced several innovative methods still employed today.
