The idea:
"We at Reichsrat von Buhl stand on dry wines. On really dry wines. However, the German laws relating to wine and wine-production can dry be to 9 g of residual sugar. And this is not dry. Or not dryly enough. At least not for us. With us is "dry" between 0 and 4 g of residual sugar. Basta. But on the bottle stands in conformity with the law just only "dry".
That's why we thought to visualize our manner of dry, namely bone dry,  and in particular to manifest on the label.

It was the next consideration to integrate the respective wine flavours visually into the skull which stands for "bone dry". Et voilà -- von Buhl Bone Dry was born! "
