At first The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve matures in the finest American white oak barrels. After a while a half of it is putt to the further maturity in old tawny port pipes from W&J Grahams in Portugal, the other half remains in the white oak barrels. Prior to bottling a marriage of the two whiskies then takes place and the warm port notes may support the classic taste of The Dalmore.
