Flavour: A nice freshness develops immediately. At first one smells a fresh honeycomb, pervaded by the clear smell of fruity resin. Then a sweetness develops, which moves from syrup to creamy butter caramel, balanced by dried raisins and caramelized fruits and roasted orange peel or red apple and automn berries. A breath of tasty salad dressing and pinewood resin is touched on later. With water the soft, exciting smell is released by Turkish confectionery aromatized with rose-water or scented candles. Then develop fresh mint and sweet butter caramel, grass, fresh ripe apples, pear and fruity pineapples but also woody tobacco or pencil shaving.
Taste: Lively, pure, sweet, fruity and full-bodied, with the warmth of hot peppers and the creamy sweetness of butter caramel which are completed by a fruity sharpness and a trace liquorice. The bonus of water lets a softer and cooler note arise and causes a gentler mouth feeling. The sweet fruit is balanced by floral and mineral notes, peppers and a nutty, biscuity dryness excellently.
Finish: Short till medium-long. Mellow and elegant with a deep, tasty warmth. Gets softly drier and nuttier with silky, dry cocoa-tannins with approvals to the cedar wood of cigar-boxes and a cleaning sharpness. With water cooling, the fresh cedar wood notes are more distinctively. The impression of bitter chocolate truffle develops completely at the end.
Number of bottles: Limited Release of 2964 bottles.
