The beginnings of the vineyard decline as Jean François Ponte, squire with the king, up to the 18th century, united several plots in the northwest of Pauillac, a few hundred metres remotely from the Gironde. His descendants bought the adjacent vineyards at it, this so-called Maison de Canet for some years later. In 1975 Guy Tesson, a businessman known in the Cognac trade, purchased the wine-growing estate and assigned the line to his son. Alfred Tesseron accepted the challenge and invested on a large scale to the vineyards and the cellars.
