Bunnahabhain originates from the Gaelic and means "mouth of the river". Meant is the Margadale River which flows just behind the distillery and delivers the pure spring water for this whisky. This clear water, the tastily malted barley (spring barley from the area of Berwick upon tweed) and the traditional distillation methods make Bunnahabhain a uniquely gentle taste experience to this day.
