Flavour: To include the magical complexity of all flavours, one needs a little time, because this whisky permanently changes. New nuances increase upward again and again and reveal the aromatic secret of these impressive cuvée bit by bit. Seductive fruit notes remind of cherry, mango, apricot, plum and a little orange zests. A certain sweetness lies over everything like a gentle veil from brown sugar, vanilla and figs marinated into syrup.
Taste: Full of dignity, the Black Art Edition 05.1fills the whole mouth, a really unique taste experience. The velvety texture dates from the long maturation in select barrels and awards a unique fruitiness to the whisky. The fruit notes which one could already discover in the nose are rounded off by well structured flavours of wood, honey and tobacco completed at the palate with a tasty breath of vanilla and cinnamon. Incomparably elegant and refined.
Finish: The classic Bruichladdich DNA: Variation of stone fruit with a perfect balance between wood, malt and fruit. The floral, ripe notes at the end of the long finish leave a lasting sensory impression.
