Barbet Distillation:
The Barbet distillation system was designed at the end of the 19th century by the Frenchman Emilio Barbet. Its uniqueness comes from the usage of two columns (Aldehyde and Rectification) with plates of bubbling bells and two condensers, one for reflux and the other which includes a special refrigeration for the final separation of the product from its congeners, thereby obtaining alcohols with subtle fruity, creamy and smokey characteristics.
