Vineyard: The grapes for the Black Print are from different vine plots between the Vorderpfälzer Ebene and the Haardtrand. Gravelly sand and terrace gravels characterize the meagre and very dry floors.
Vinification: Harvest of very ripe and healthy grapes, traditional mash fermentation in a wood - fermentation tub with following stand time of 3 weeks, gentle pressing under low pressure. After this without interventions from outside (fining or the like) storage in new and of several years wooden barrels made of French oak.
Dark fruit and much concentration are thanks to the perfect association of of a very mature reading good and the individual locations. The optimal harvest time of the very different types of vine is the greatest challenge.
